Winchester at its best this weekend
Our town was the quintessential New England village having a party. Shanahan Real Estate Group is always a part of this event and each year, we look forward to seeing all of our friends and neighbors as they make their way down Thompson Street. The morning started off with The Winchester Rotary Clubs annual Pancake Breakfast, which is always great. It is a really well run and organized event and fun for the whole family. We heard that they used up all of their pancake batter (several five-gallon drums of it!) by the time it was over! As usual, the town center was closed to traffic to allow visitors to roam the streets. People were shopping and eating everything from ice cream to fried dough to corn dogs. The petting zoo was a hit with the little kids, as were the trucks and FANs Kid Olympics on the Common.
Shanahan Real Estate Group Agents at Town Day
At right is a picture of some of our agents from the Shanahan Real Estate Group booth from Town Day. In the picture are Nicole Cordeiro, Paula Sughrue, Lulu Coakley and Karen Garrett. This year, we gave away water bottles and calendars. The calendars are always a big hit and highlight some of the most beautiful areas of town. We prepare it every year with seasonal photographs provided by Rich Shanahan. If you would like a calendar, please send us an email, call or come by the office. We have a few left and would love to share them! Some years, we all roast in extreme early summer heat and others have been rainy. This year, it was sunny and about 70 degrees- perfect!
Why buyers choose Winchester and why they stay
It seems that every weekend this spring has brought another event for us to enjoy. It truly is the season to see your neighbors and enjoy our town together. Its events like these that convince sellers to stay in Winchester when they need a larger home or when looking to downsize. This is also a day where potential buyers see our town and decide that Winchester is for them!
